Expect a sequel to Inside Man
The film, which starred Clive Owen, Jodie Foster and Denzel Washington, was directed by Spike Lee and made over $184 million (£96.4 million) in box office receipts worldwide.
According to Variety, Lee is not confirmed to direct the sequel as yet, but is working on a script for the follow-up with Russell Gewirtz, who wrote the first film.
Inside Man is the highest-grossing movie in Spike Lee's career to date and tells the story of a bank robbery that spirals out of control into a tense hostage situation.
Lee's directorial roster includes a number of seminal films such as Clockers, Girl 6, He Got Game and Malcolm X.
He recently made When The Levees Broke: A Requiem In Four Acts, which is a series of documentaries studying the impact of Hurricane Katrina and the role of the US government in the tragedy.
