Jennifer Lopez 'to star in Ice Age 4'
The Hollywood Reporter claims that Jeremy Renner, star of The Hurt Locker, The Town and Thor, is also due to voice one of the characters in Ice Age: Continental Drift.
Renner will provide the voice for the character Gutt, who is described as a "self-styled master of the high seas".
Lopez, who is currently on the American Idol judging panel, is to voice Shira, a love interest for Diego, who is voiced by Denis Leary.
A number of the actors and actresses who provided voices for the other three films in the franchise will also be involved in the fourth movie, including Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Seann William Scott and Josh Peck.
The first Ice Age film was released in 2002 and saw a sabre-toothed tiger, a sloth and a wooly mammoth return a lost human baby to its tribe.
