Kiefer Sutherland swaps 24 for Mirrors

Kiefer Sutherland, who may be best known to many as Jack Bauer in the real-time drama series 24, is set to spend his summer break shooting a supernatural thriller entitled Mirrors.

According to Variety, Sutherland will play an ex-policeman and shopping mall security guard who discovers something odd in a department store mirror and sets out to investigate.

Although Sutherland began his career in movies and still features on the big screen from time to time, his role as counter terrorist agent Bauer in 24 has helped to make it widely popular, providing tense and gripping action in each episode.

The show is now in its sixth season, while a 24 film was planned for this summer but has been postponed due to scripting issues.

Although the action centres on Bauer, a number of other characters have helped to provide dense plotting and storylines in the show, such as Jack's daughter Kim, played by Elisha Cuthbert.
