Elisha Cuthbert pics pulled

Posters for Captivity, a new thriller starring Elisha Cuthbert, have been pulled down amid complaints about the images used.

Studio Briefing reports that the marketing material, featuring shots of Cuthbert's character being kidnapped and tortured, was removed from a number of billboards and taxis in Los Angeles and New York when the distribution company became aware of the public's reaction.

The movie, which is scheduled for release in the UK on May 18th 2007, tells the story of a man and woman who wake up to find they have been abducted and kept prisoner in a dark and hidden cellar.

Cuthbert, who shot to fame playing Kim Bauer on real-time drama series 24, stars as Jennifer, the film's protagonist, who slowly learns the truth behind her seemingly random kidnapping.

Elisha featured in the first three seasons of 24 before making a brief return in the fifth series when her father, Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland) returns to her life after pretending he was dead.
