Paul Haggis to return for 22nd Bond film

4 stars out of 5.0
Oscar-winning writer Paul Haggis has agreed to put pen to paper for the next film in the James Bond franchise, it emerged today.

Haggis, who co-wrote last year's rejuvenation of the spy franchise, Casino Royale, is to lend his talents once again for the 22nd movie, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The film is as-yet untitled but could see the eponymous hero keep his smooth yet brutal personality, as brilliantly played by Daniel Craig in his first outing as Bond.

And prospects for the movie may be high, given Haggis' recent work on Million Dollar Baby and Crash - the latter of which he wrote and directed.

However, he also penned the script for 2006's comedy drama The Last Kiss, a pleasant and thought-provoking story starring Scrubs actor Zach Braff and adapted from a previous film entitled L'Ultimo Baccio.
