Owen Wilson 'will not appear in Tropic Thunder'
Wilson, who co-wrote The Royal Tenenbaums and has starred in films such as Starsky And Hutch and Wedding Crashers, was hospitalised at the weekend.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie - entitled Tropic Thunder and directed by Ben Stiller - was set to include Wilson in a supporting role although he had not started filming yet.
No word was given on whether the part will be rewritten or recast, but the ensemble comedy has been filming for six weeks so a number of options may still be available.
The movie tells the story of a group of actors on the set of a war movie who bizarrely find themselves forced to become the actual soldiers they are playing.
It is scheduled for release in the UK next summer.
