Cher pulled from Alfie
Audiences at test screenings reportedly burst into laughter as it started playing over the closing credits to the new version of the movie.
The original 1966 version, starring Michael Cain as the eponymous love rat, had its theme song - What's it all about, Alfie - sung by Cher and she had consented to re-record the track for the new version.
However, while it went down rather well 38 years ago things have gone less well this time around.
Paramount studios are now attempting to persuade jazz singer Norah Jones create her own version of the song for the release of the film in October.
