Hayden Panettiere in talks for more cheerleading

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere is in negotiations to don another cheerleading outfit for the forthcoming movie I Love You Beth Copper.

As many fans will know, Panettiere currently plays Heroes' Claire Bennet, a star cheerleader who discovers she can regenerate and is therefore technically immortal.

The Hollywood Reporter stated that the actress is in talks to take on another pom-pom-shaking role as the lead character Beth Cooper. As the school's best cheerleader, she shows a geek "the best night of his life" after he professes his love for her.

The movie is based on a novel by Larry Doyle, who previously wrote for The Simpsons.

Panettiere, who is 18 years old, may be best known for her portrayal of Claire Bennet but has already clocked up a lengthy CV since making her acting debut at the age of seven.

In addition to films such as as Remember The Titans and Bring It On: All or Nothing, she also starred in Ally McBeal and Malcolm in the Middle.
