28 Weeks Later?
A sequel to the highly successful horror movie "28 Days Later" is being lined up.
Costing less than £5 million to make, the iconic zombie movie grossed five times that in the US alone.
So it has surprised few that a sequel is being looked at closely. Provisionally titled "28 Weeks Later", studio bosses at Fox Searchlight are in talks with Rowan Joffe, who penned "Last Resort", to write the script.
Danny Boyle, director of the first film, and Alex Garland, author of the first script, look set to return as producers. There is so far no word on whether Cillian Murphy, will return, as the actor has seen his status climb dramatically over the last two years.
His performance in "28 Days Later" saw Murphy nominated for "Breakthrough Male Performance" at both the MTV and OFCS film awards.
Since then he has gone on to roles in "Girl With A Pearl Earring" and "Cold Mountain", he is currently filming "Batman Begins" with Michael Caine and Christian Bale.
