Horton holds top spot at US box officeThe film, which is from the same production company behind Ice Age and Robots, raked in over $24 million (£11.9 million) in its sophomore week to bring its total box office since its release to more than $86 million - the highest in the top ten. Writer/director Tyler Perry's comedy drama Meet The Browns took second spot, collecting over $20 million on its opening weekend. It was followed by another new entry, horror remake Shutter starring Joshua Jackson and Rachael Taylor. Owen Wilson comedy Drillbit Taylor made it a trio of debutants in the top four, while last week's number one, adventure epic 10,000 BC, dropped to number five. Never Back Down, starring Djimon Hounsou of Blood Diamond and the late Mrs Jack Bauer, Leslie Hope of 24, took number six. At seven, it's Martin Lawrence comedy College Road Trip, while eighth place on the chart goes to Jason Statham's crime comedy The Bank Job. Conspiracy thriller Vantage Point, which stars screen legend Sigourney Weaver, Lost's Matthew Fox and Oscar winner William Hurt, is at nine. Under The Same Moon, which follows a young Mexican boy's attempts to cross the US border to be reunited with his mother, opened on just 266 screens nationwide and makes a surprise appearance at ten.
