McConaughey to indulge in Magnum?According to Digital Spy, the How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days and We Are Marshall actor said he was "considering" taking on the role of the Hawaii-based private detective following rumours he had been approached. The site says Rawson Marshall Thurber - the writer/director behind Dodgeball - A True Underdog Story - is believed to be on board for the movie, although McConaughey told the showbiz site that the new film would not be a comedy. "As I understand it, it's [set in the] modern day. It's not a parody. It's not going back in time, it's a modern-day Magnum. I like that take," he reportedly said at the UK premiere of his latest big screen outing, Fool's Gold. The original Magnum PI television series ran for 164 episodes between 1980 and 1988.
