LA premiere for Kill Bill: Volume 2

Actress Uma Thurman turned heads at the LA premiere of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume 2 by wearing a sheer, skin-tight lilac dress. Co-stars Darryl Hannah, Lucy Liu, Carmen Electra and Snoop Dog also attended the premiere at the Arclights Cinerame Dome.

Ms Thurman, who recently split from long time husband Ethan Hawke, plays The Bride, Black Mamba in Tarantino's violent blockbuster.

Her assassin character is on a mission to kill her treacherous former boss, the eponymous Bill.

The Kill Bill films were eagerly awaited by Tarantino fans, who had waited more than six years for his latest offering.

Following critical acclaim for the first Kill Bill instalment, director Tarantino has now expressed an interest in making a Bond film and has even talked to actor Pierce Brosnan about the project.
