Harrison Ford tops movie president poll
The actor - who played a U.S. president fighting airplane hijackers in 1997's "Air Force One - held off competition from the likes of Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas and Jack Nicholson.
Ford's portrayal of president James Marshall in the 1997 film took 24 per cent of the vote, just ahead of Freeman's role as Tom Beck in Deep Impact.
Commenting on the results, Moviefone editor-in-chief Scott Robson, told Reuters: "It seems everybody is looking for a commander-in-chief who can come in and take command.
"Our readers voted with their hearts at a time when you have the economy going down the tubes, but in an ideal world it would be great to have a president who can kick some ass."
Michael Douglas claimed third place for his turn as Andrew Shepherd in The American President, while Bill Pullman's finished fourth for Independence Day.
