Foxx and Swank make Time's top 100The latest instalment of the annual list sees the Oscar winner joined by fellow Academy Award winner Hilary Swank, as Hollywood stakes a claim for some of the most influential people in the world. Foxx enjoyed critical acclaim and box office success this year, with his portrayal of jazz legend Ray Charles securing the Oscar. Other film icons to make the list included Johnny Depp and Quentin Tarantino, while documentary maker Michael Moore also featured. Clint Eastwood is also named among the top 100 influential figures, with actor Sean Penn describing the Dirty Harry star as "cinema's Mount Rushmore" in the magazine. Jim Kelly, Time editor, said he felt the list "really shows the breadth of human endeavour". |
