Damon blasts Bond
Since Daniel Craig took over the role of Bond, the movies have repeatedly drawn comparisons to the Bourne franchise for their gritty style.
However, Damon has dismissed such claims, saying his CIA agent is nothing like the famous spy.
"Bond is an imperialist, misogynist sociopath who goes around bedding women and swilling martinis and killing people. He's repulsive," he told the Miami Herald.
Damon also revealed that director Steven Soderbergh once turned down a Bond movie as he was not allowed to take full creative control.
"'Absolutely not', they said. They have a formula, they stick to it, and it makes them a lot of money. They know what they're doing, and they're going to keep doing it," the actor explained.
Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that Daniel Craig will play a villain in the forthcoming Tintin movie.
