Jackson to join Mother & Child?

Samuel L Jackson has reportedly joined the cast of the forthcoming drama Mother & Child.

According to Screen Daily, the Pulp Fiction star take a role alongside Naomi Watts, Annette Bening and Kerry Washington.

The movie focuses on the intersecting lives of three women – a 50-year-old mother, the daughter she gave up for adoption and a third character who is looking to adopt a child of her own.

Everest Entertainment is set to produce the project alongside Mockingbird Pictures' Julie Lynn.

Babel's Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu will executive produce the movie, which is slated for release in 2010.

"I am thrilled to be financing Rodrigo Garcia's new film. The quality of the material has attracted a world-class cast, and I am proud that this will mark the first film of my new company," said Everest's Lisa Maria Falcone.

Elsewhere, Michael Sheen recently said he was scared by Jackson's interrogation scenes on the set of forthcoming thriller Unthinkable.
