I recently watched 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' and enjoyed it, so I thought I would have a look at the original. It's a great concept and has a well written script (Rod Serling, creator of The Twilight Zone, co-wrote it). My only criticism is that the direction is a little flat and slightly dated. If it had a bit more flair this would be a true sci- fi classic!
