There are not enough stars to give this episode, simply put it is one of the most perfect 40 minutes of television ever made.
The themes of conversation and communicating are all set up by these characters in the beginning and then we see how you must react when speech is taken away from you. Sometimes unsettling, sometimes funny, sometimes moving.
Combine that with genuinely terrifying creatures and you have one of the best written episodes, not just of Buffy, but of anything. It's no wonder it won awards.
