Full of Jumps and Bumps...
The Woman in Black review
12th September 2012
A new adaptation of The Woman in Black. I have to say i rather enjoyed it, when i could bare to remove my face from my pillow and look at the screen.
Sit me in front of something Gory, alien, monster movie like and i will watch from start to finish unscathed, put me front of this film and i will literally pee my pants.
This type of film always gets me, it made me jump out of my skin and scared me out my wits on more than one occasion, therefore for me it was a really good film. I liked the way it was filmed, it really added to the scariness, also the sound effects to watch it on mute would be half as scary, but im not complaining like i said when i could bare to look i rather enjoyed it.
I thought the film was aesthetically pleasing, well filmed, with enough scares to last...
One thing which concerns me is that i think Harry Potter fans are renting/watching and not liking, this is not Harry Potter, So yes at one point i was shouting 'Dont go in there you haven't got your wand' also at one point i thought i heard some parseltongue but just because you love harry potter doesn't mean you will like this. I watched this because of the theatre production and the high ratings it received and it deserves them. Personally i don't like Radcliffe, but i like this film.
Should maybe be rated 15.
4. 5/5 stars, if it can make me jump, scream, shout and not sleep, then it is good!
A must see, but be prepared for a scare
I recommend a light on and a pillow near by.
