Not bad but not up to the hype
1st May 2013
It's a different sort of Bond film this one. Less about saving the world and more about the individuals. So no world threatening super villain just Javier Bardem doing an irritating Spanish impression of DJ Nicey. Possibly the least intimidating bad guy ever which is a surprise after his turn as the assassin in No Country for Old Men. Quite a lot of action, a few nods to Bond of old. Despite being different it's not really that special and I'm not sure where the hype surrounding the film developed from. It's not a bad film at all but its nothing exceptional.
