Ignore the TimeOut review. This is a classic British film.
The camera work is excellent, the acting is good, the storyline is good and the soundtrack is wonderful.
OK, so maybe it flies the flag a bit - but no more than is suitable for the period in which it is set. Also, you can tell the TimeOut review is rubbish as there is no such thing as a "thatcherite liberal".
