if you loved the first 2 Death Note films....prepare to be dissapointed

the first two films are vastly superior to this spin off, which was made as an offshot of the films and not directly from a manga. you can really tell as it just doesnt feel as intricate as the first 2 movies. but by far the biggest criticism is that for a film about L we dont actually learn anything more about him than we knew from his apperances in the first 2 features, and even though it's teased in Death Note 2 - Last Name and again shown here we dont find out anything about the nature of Watari's relationship to L it wasnt bad, it just wasnt up to the Death Note name
