The Infidel review
11th August 2010
Djalili and Schiff are great. Their one liners are fantastic. The only down side was the ending which was very disappointing (too sweet) and it was stretched out for too long. I wish there were more writers/directors/actors brave enough to address religious hypocrisy. In the end the only real humans in this story are all the taxi drivers (Djalili, Schiff and the other drivers) who don't take their racial identity or religion too seriously. I am British-Iranian like Djalili - I am proud of him for showing the world that the Iranian people (as opposed to their religious leaders) have a fantastic sense of humour !
