It seems everyone wants to be a Gleek, first Gwyneth Paltrow and now Jennifer Hudson.

Hudson could be hitting a high note on FOX's popular television show if gets her way.

At present nothing is set in stone, but the actress has reveleaed her desire to sing it up with the likes of Glee stars Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch and Lea Michele at William McKinley High, in the coming months.

After dusting off her pipes in the forthcoming Country Strong, fellow Oscar-winner Paltrow proved her Gleekier side as substitute teacher Holly Holliday, with a rendition of Cee-Lo Green’s Forget You in Series 2.

If Hudson follows in Paltrow’s shoes she’s hoping to score a similar position of authority: "Maybe the substitute music teacher,” the Dreamgirls star confessed to E! Online.

She added: "(It) would be so cool…It's such an amazing show, so hopefully."

The American Idol star is steadily making a return to the entertainment industry, following the tragic loss of her mother, brother and nephew, who were all shot and killed in 2008.

Hudson will be performing at a Pre-Grammys Gala this Saturday. With several Glee cast members in attendance, there could be chance for Hudson to follow through on her small-screen wish.
