Johnny Depp to Star in Jonah Hill Movie?

It was the television show that jump started Johnny Depp’s career - now Jonah Hill is penning the movie version of 21 Jump Street and there are rumblings that Johnny could be on board...

According to E! Online, the heavyweight star could be making an uncredited cameo in the big-screen adaptation, after revealing to David Letterman that he never enjoyed making the television show.

Comedian Hill – whose writing credits include Saturday Night Live - is co-writing the script with Michael Bacall as well as starring alongside Channing Tatum, Rob Riggle, Ice Cube and James Franco’s brother Dave Franco.

Johnny, who is currently preparing to set sail in the fourth instalment of Jerry Bruckheimers’ Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, hasn’t confirmed either way whether he’ll have any involvement in the 21 Jump Street project.

But one thing is for certain - an uncredited appearance would definitely draw in audiences worldwide, making the movie a surefire hit.

Shooting for 21 Jump Street is scheduled to start in May.
