Kevin Costner is in negotiations to join Quentin Tarantino’s spaghetti Western project, Django Unchained.
The Dances with Wolves star is currently in talks to play the sadistic trainer of male fighting slaves, Ace Woody, which is a sideways step from his usual good guy roles.
If Costner accepts the role, filming will commence after he has made a career comeback as Superman’s adopted father, Jonathan Kent in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel movie.
If Costner makes the cut he will join celebrities such as; Christopher Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Last month LOVEFiLM reported on how Tarantino was toying with the idea of Jamie Foxx as his lead. Since then Foxx has been confirmed in the titular role, as a slave turned bounty hunter.
The Weinstein Company are backing production this Autumn, so unfortunately we still have some time to wait and see whether Costner officially joins the cast.
