Liam Neeson Cut From The Hangover Part II

Liam Neeson has been cut from The Hangover Part II.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor, who had filmed a cameo as a tattoo artist, was unable to do reshoots because of scheduling conflicts with Wrath of the Titans.

Director Todd Phillips was forced to cut Neeson’s scenes and recast the role.

The cameo was originally scheduled to go to Mel Gibson, but he was replaced by Neeson after several people close to the project objected to the troubled actor’s involvement.

Now that Neeson is out, director Todd Phillips has reshot the scenes with The Notebook director Nick Cassavetes. Cassavetes, the son of Hollywood legends John Cassavetes and Gena Rowlands, has had bit parts in films before, including the Nicolas Cage thriller Face/Off.

The Hangover Part II will be released on 27 May and follows the original cast as they travel to Thailand and wake up the morning after a stag night with no memory of the night before.

The raunchy, R-rated film has had other recent troubles. Last week, the trailer needed to be pulled from cinemas after it was paired with the PG-13 film Source Code, without approval from the MPAA.
