This weekend two posters for the most anticipated superhero films of the approaching summer; The Dark Knight Rises and The Amazing Spiderman, were revealed.
The posters are surprisingly similar in style following a black-and-white colour scheme that gives them both an air of dark mystery.
You can see them here.
The Dark Knight Rises poster shows Tom Hardy’s Bane walking away in the distance, having presumably brutally defeated Batman, whose mask lies on the snowy ground ripped to pieces.
While the film title, The Dark Knight Rises suggests beginnings, the poster’s slogan reads The Legend Ends, pointing out the obvious demise of everyone's favourite caped crusader.
The poster for The Amazing Spiderman on the other hand is less suggestive and shows Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker crawled up on a wall with his shadow forming a giant Spiderman logo.
Both posters will no doubt leave everyone wishing that summer would just hurry up and be here already.
The Amazing Spiderman releases on 4 July 2012 while The Dark Knight Rises opens a few days later on 20 July.
