The Dark Knight Rises Audio Adjusted?

In response to disgruntled fans, director Christopher Nolan is said to have adjusted the audio on the much awaited The Dark Knight Rises to make Bane’s dialogue clearer.

The trailer and the six-minute prologue for the film, released with IMAX screenings of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol late last year, raised the issue of Tom Hardy’s inaudible lines.

Despite Nolan refusing to address the issue, Collider has reported that according to an IMAX projectionist, there is an updated sound mix for the prologue that solves the problem.

"They’ve cleaned up the dialogue. They’ve gone in and lowered the background noise of the plane and other things, thus making Bane’s dialogue clearer and more understandable," claimed the projectionist.

The audiences' response to the tweaking has proven positive, “they had no issue understanding him”, the projectionist stated.

At this stage Nolan's sound editing is hearsay but, if true, the adjustment may go a long way towards, not only satisfying fans, but preventing any disappointment for the film come release time.
