X-Men: First Class Sequel Talks Begin?
After X-Men: First Class’ rip-roaring success at the box office, it seems talk of a sequel to the prequel are already underway.
Numerous fan sites are claiming that discussions surrounding the return of the franchise have begun, only one month after Matthew Vaughn’s explosive instalment debuted in cinemas.
With a $335m return at the box office worldwide, Fox would be hard pressed not justifying a follow-up.
However before everyone gets ahead of themeselves, the studio are rolling out big-gun, Hugh Jackman for the upcoming Wolverine sequel The Wolverine, directed by James Mangold, later next year.
Furthermore the First Class sequel will also be up against X Men: Dead Pool, a spin off of the Wolverine movie starring Ryan Reynolds as Wayde Wilson.
So whether these talks will amount to anything, remains unseen at this stage, but if Fox can drum up an equally entertaining follow-up to the franchise then we’re definitely on board.
