Director Besson to be honoured at film festival
Director Luc Besson will be honoured for his special effects work at the Future Film Festival in Bologna, Italy later this month (Apr11).
Besson, who directed The Fifth Element and The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec, will be recognised for using cutting-edge technologies and animation in the industry, reports Variety.
Bosses at the festival have dubbed Besson "the most American French director of the past two decades".
The filmmaker will also use the festival to screen his new 3D fantasy film Arthur 3: The War of the Two Worlds.
