Maroulis set for cameo in Rock of Ages movie
American Idol star Constantine Maroulis has reportedly landed a cameo in the Rock Of Ages movie musical after director Adam Shankman refused to cast him in the role he plays on the Broadway show.
Many felt Maroulis would be perfect as Drew Boley in the movie version of the stage show, but instead Shankman hired newcomer Diego Boneta - because he thought the original star was too old to play a 23 year old.
But that doesn't mean Maroulis, 35, will not be part of the all-star movie - he's filming a smaller role in the project, according to BroadwayWorld.com.
