Redgrave to make Academy history in London
Vanessa Redgrave is to be saluted at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' first-ever European tribute to an actor.
Meryl Streep, Ralph Fiennes, James Earl Jones and the revered thespian's daughter and Anonymous co-star Joely Richardson will be among the stars celebrating the great Brit's acting career at an invitation-only event in London on 13 November (11).
Redgrave received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in Julia in 1977, and she has been nominated a further five times.
