Brief synopsis of The Sims 2: Castaway

Electronic Arts' new Sims Stories brand kicks off with The Sims 2 Castaway. In a nutshell, the game brings EA's unstoppably lovable franchise to a desert island. Think Lost without people wanting to kill you and smokey monsters. Think Survivor without annoying presenters. Think... well, think The Sims on a desert island.

The game features a group of Sims who have found themselves in the unfortunate position of having been stranded on a tropical island while cruising off on their holiday. From there, they'll need to survive in the open sandbox that is the island.

Your first problem will be, quite simply, one of survival. Players will need to guide their Sim through the basic tasks of eating and finding shelter, allowing them time to get used to the controls and find their way through the game mechanic.

As time progresses, however, other needs will begin to creep in. The Sims will start wanting entertainment, and you'll need to get on with the task of forming a community with other survivors from your unfortunate set of circumstances.

Alternatively, you might want to take a more adventurous route. Players will be able to hop from island to island, piecing together clues that will eventually lead them away from the hell of idyllic island living and back to the pollution-clogged hustle and bustle of modern life.

Throughout it all, you'll see your Sim gradually change as they become more rugged and, well, shipwrecked.

If you've ever fantasised about getting stranded with Milky Joe on a desert island, this might be for you.

I loved it, just when you thought you cracked everything something else would come along and you have to go back over to solve something else. i liked the way everything spread out before you. If you like puzzles and brain teasers then you'll love this

This is a game that takes time to progress. I have been playing this for approx 1 hr a day for about two weeks and I'm not bored yet even though some of the most recent challenges I haven't wotked out how to complete yet. The fishing, growing crops and digging for treasure are relaxing. In some ways it is like Harvest Moon.

This is much better than Sims 2 Pets.

Sims Castaway is a great game, which is like a puzzle, stratagy and adventure game all rolled into one! Your task is to get arounf the island, finding new areas and making new items. The only problem I have with it is when you complete the game, which didn't take very long for me, it just gets boring. But, this is a good game to rent becuse when you complete it you can just give it back!
