Brief synopsis of Football Manager 2008

The latest console version of Football Manager will be fully updated for the new season, including transfers being made in the mid-season transfer window, allowing players to select their favourite club or international team and guide them to the title. While retaining all the depth and realism of the PC version, the Xbox 360 version also features revamped online play to the PC game via Xbox LIVE, permitting you to challenge friends to one-on-one matches and even host tournaments.

Rated - 2 starsFM 2008 - not really for consoles

A customer from Deeside , 14/04/2008

I have palyed nearly every football manager and championship manager game for the PC, and have got lots of play out of them, lost lots of sleep, and drunk lots of coffee, so after recently buying my XBOX 360, i wondered what it would be like to play Football Manager on it. I was hugely disappointed, as after setting up the game and attempting to play it, i found it very difficult to get to where i wanted and do what i wanted to do, because of the controls. This game will always need a mouse to be playable. It would be much better if there could be a virtual mouse to control the options. Also, you need a big screen or to be close to the screen to see what is going on. I might get FM2008, but for my PC. I know i will like the game, but the console version lasted half an hour before frustration got the better of me, and i put it back in the red envelope and hope the next game stays in my XBOX for a bit longer!

Rated - 1 starmuch better on the pc

this game is a total disgrace! for anyone who is thinking of buying or renting it I would advise otherwise. the main problem is the controls. every button on the xbox controller does something this means unless you have days and days to waste learning you'll end up frustrated. the pc is so much easier to use ! point and click ! addictive on the pc ! complete rubbish on the 360 !
