Rated - 5 starsSeason starts on fine form

This is my favourite show & I have watched most of the season so far. The first 4 episodes in vol.1 are a great start to the season. Last seasons finale saw Atlantis left floating in space and so the start here is how the team handle the life or death situation they find themselves in.

I won't give out any spoilers but this is a great season not to be missed, surprises galore, friends are lost & found and old enemies return.

(spoiler sorry)

My only dislike with the season is not enough of Carson Beckett, he is such a brilliant character being funny & compassionate and the chemistry between Mckay & Beckett is brilliant. Why the writers killed him off is beyond me but there has been enough fan support to show the writers thier big mistake & they have brought him back but not as a regular cast member. Hopefully we will see a lot more of Beckett in season 5, writers/producers I hope your listening to the fans!

If you have watched the first 3 seasons, you are probably going to watch this regardless of what you read.

Enjoyed the culmination of the Cliffhanger. Avoided the spoilers in the special features ( Why do they refer to episodes that you have not seen?) .

Stargate Atlantis is a worthy spin off from the original Stargate:SG1. The first four episodes of this series are brilliant, but you if you don'y like Stargate, you ain't gonna like this either.

You're gonna have a great time watching this. i can guarantee that you'll want to watch all episodes on the DVD back to back. Coz the thrills and cliffhangers will have you restless. LOL. Bravo Atlantis. continuing the SG-1 legacy. even better...

Rated - 5 starswhat happens when you add the writing team of SG1 to that of Stargate Atlantis

Well it just gets better and better.

Stargate Atlantis looked like it was clear to kill of SG1 eventually.

With this series it is worth having watched the last of Season3 as it would make sense.

On this DVD there are 3 excellent episodes and one average one.

The one about the replicators apeing theor creators ('we were created on Gods own image') is really neat.

This upscales very well to 1080p and has an action packed 5.1 sound stage.
