Brief synopsis of Adulthood

Powerful, disturbing and moving in equal measure, 2005's acclaimed "Kidulthood" took us deep into London's unseen underbelly, delivering a raw, hard-hitting reflection of what life is like for 21st century teenagers. "Adulthood" follows up that tale as Sam Peel is released from jail and must overcome the temptations of the outside world as well as the repurcussions of his actions.

Rated - 5 starsFrom KiDULTHOOD to AdULTHOOD

Now that was a sequel! That's what my mate said to me when we left the cinema, now you will have to have seen KiDULTHOOD to get most of this...but its not essential if you love this type of stuff!

I wouldn't watch this if you have no clue what KiDULTHOOD or AdULTHOOD are about because you most likely won't enjoy it...

However for me everything was spot on, 5/5!

Rated - 5 starsGreat Sequel

Grangey from Abingdon [Highly rated reviewer] , 15/08/2008

I thought this was a brilliant follow up from Kidulthood, it appeared the movie matured with its previous audience. I was a little disapointed with a small proportion of the actors but as you rarely saw them this didnt both me. Brilliant performance by Noel Clarke & the other main characters, certainly was a great and compelling storyline. If you liked Kidulthood you will not be disapointed.

Bring on 'Parenthood'?????????

Rated - 2 starsNothing Speical

I can see what they are trying to do but the fact remains this film shows why English films never really dominate the market. It’s a good film but it’s got loads of over acting and pointless scenes…I think really with the aim to shock. It shows a true reflection of what is going on at the moment in London (and other cities) and whilst this is still better than the first one it still lacks something to raise it with some great British films of recent times. This is a film for the kids to watch as they will think it’s cool and gives them something to talk about whilst bunking off school and drinking cider.
