Brief synopsis of Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging

Directed by Gurinder Chadha (BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM, BRIDE AND PREJUDICE), ANGUS, THONGS AND PERFECT SNOGGING is a light-hearted, yet poignant look into the life of struggling teen, Georgia Nicolson. Georgia's life, though at times problematic, is simple. She adores her cat, Angus and enjoys hanging out with her best matesknown collectively as the Ace Gangbut wants more. Her decrepit parents just don't understand and could possibly help her find a 'gorgeous sex-god' for a boyfriend or help plan the ultimate fifteenth birthday party. Matters complicate when two brothers, Tom and Robbie, arrive as new pupils at her school. Georgia finds an instant connection with the hunky Robbie, but so does her arch-rival, Lindsay...

This tremendously fun rites of passage tale is Britain's answer to the burgeoning teen comedy sub genre; following in the footsteps of classic American films such as MEAN GIRLS, SIXTEEN CANDLES and CLUELESS.

I've read the book & thought it was very funny & i'm hoping that the film will be just as fun & that theres not too much editing to spoil it!

I love the quotes & the wittiness. I like silly funny & this is definately silly funny.. if you like that sort of thing then why not watch it!?

I've read all the other books too & looking forward to them coming to film if this is a success!!!!!

I was a bit unsure of what to expect, I really enjoyed the books as a teenage girl but I though the film might be a bit embarassing - saying things like 'Marvy'.

2 of the main characters are missed out - Mabs and Joolz but they are hardly featured in the books so I wasn't too bothered. The flim itself sticks vaguely to the book with the major plot points included, albeit, in a loose style. It's enjoyable and does have some really funny moments. I would recommend it as it's a really nice film, everyone around me in the cinema were also really enjoying it - so I'd say rent it! (:
