******WARNING****** DISC 1 = ''Razor'' (the BSG spin-off film) with extented highlights.

If you have previoulsy rented the film there is not much point in seeing this 1st disc. Yes it has extended highlights, yes it has bonus material... but really it's just fodder to fill the discs for this season due to the writter's strike.

*** Make sure you watch this series from Season 1 ***

Well, that was pretty obvious, but it has to be said just in case! No real point in renting this if you have never seen it before. There is a very large plotline before this season which has got us to this point. Frankly, you'd be missing out big time if you didn't catch up 1st.

And now to those who are loyal follower's of this epic adventure:

This Season wont answer all your questions. In fact 2009/10 will supposedly be the final season. However, if you have got enjoyment like I have over the battle between humankind & Cylon... you wont be dissapointed. Personally, the 2nd half of season 2 was unbeatable. Season 4 however does not loose any of it action or twists. Season 4 has kept me hooked. Apparently there are 10 final episodes from this season, now labelled Season 5.

Clearly this review can only mean one thing, depending which camp you fall into..... * If your hooked on BSG 1,2,3 - this wont let you down, continue your addiction! * If you have never seen BSG, maybe you have been told about it, don't start here... go back, rent season 1,2,3 ... then I'll cya here!

Rated - 5 starsNot the full season 4

webber6969 from Caerphilly , 14/09/2008

Just a warning to all those wanting to rent this series that it does not contain all of the episodes of season 4.

Only the first 10 of a planned 20 episodes have aired in the UK/USA due to the writers strike in the USA. Therefore only those first 10 are included in this collection. The final 10 episodes are to be aired in early 2009, with the FULL season i suspect to be released some time next sumer.

Battling through the frontlines of the US writers strike - the reason the series was split in half - and HBO's award winning allegory for America's questionable foreign policy reaches its furious (almost) climax.

At least one faction is in the midst of a civil war, the other might as well be, Starbuck is back from the dead (or is she?) and humanity seems to be guided to their homeland by nothing less than an omnipotent cosmic spirit.

Safe to say it serves up many more questions than it answers, yet BSG-4.1 belts along at such a tremendous pace you barely care.

If you have already seen/rented the direct to dvd 'season 2.5' Razor, don't bother with disk 1 of season4, it is the same.

So disappointed, didn't get my long awaited fix of BSG200x :-(

Rated - 4 starsSeason 4 disc 1

A customer from Glasgow , 21/10/2008

Note that season 4 disc 1 is actually 'RAZOR', a two hour special.

Good though.

Episodes follow on disc 2

Disc 1 was a bit funny on my player. Strange at the beginning.
