Brief synopsis of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is the first game built around the legendary music of America's greatest rock 'n' roll band: Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer. Fans will experience Aerosmith's Grammy award winning career, from their first gig to becoming rock royalty, in a way that no other entertainment vehicle offers. As players progress through the game, they can rock out to the band's greatest hits, as well as songs from other celebrated artists that the band has either performed with or has been inspired by in some way. Venues from historical moments during the band's illustrious career offer the experience of "sweet emotion" and further capture the essence of the band's rise to fame.

This game is basically just the same as guitar hero 3 only difference you only play aeorsmith's songs. This could have easily been DLC but nooo they wanted to charge you an extra 30pound for some new songs basically. Only main difference is that the achievements are easier to achieve.

Worth a rent only is you're an aerosmith wannabe!

this game looks astonishing - it has great graphics, good gameplay and is aerosmoith which is the great thing - guitar heroes rock my world and it is always a good sight to see that another one is coming out to take a different approach to gaming and is easy to use and get use to..

Rated - 2 starsCrazy!?

A customer from Swindon , 07/08/2008

Very disappointing. The tracks are good, but the majority are very dull to play. The only decent songs to play are available on other music rhythm games such as rock band and guitar hero 3 (train kept a' rollin', sex type thing, etc), and it misses out great areosmith songs such as crazy and don't want to miss a thing. The set list is too short for a disc - its more of a glorified and over priced DLC. Finally the graphics aren't bad, but are basically the same as guitar hero 3. A game that even areosmith fans may find a waste of money.

i found that this was a very good and entertaining game but i believe it was much easier than the earlier titles (guitar hero 3 and so on) and did not pose as a challenge but defiently a great game for easy gamerscore so i would reccomend it to any one who enjoyed the other guitar heros and defiently looking forward to guitar hero 4

Rated - 3 starsGood for achievements but lacking otherwise

Unless you like Aerosmith a lot, don't get this game unless you're good at Guitar Hero. The achievements are quite easy as the songs aren't really that challenging. Compared to GH3, it's a hell of a lot easier. As I'm not a massive fan of Aerosmith myself I found the game really unappealing after getting the achievements I could be bothered to (and that wasn't all of them).

Rated - 3 starsSame Game Different Name

A customer from Surrey , 05/11/2008

The problem with a game devoted to one particular band is surely that the audience is immediately reduced to those that love (or at least don't mind) Aerosmith.

I have never been an Aerosmith fan so renting the game was sufficient. In fact I completed it in one sitting on Hard and sent it back the next day having racked up over 500 gamer points - the songs are not a challenge when compared to Guitar Hero 3.

I also agree with some of the other reviews here - the songs are dull and probably do not even represent the best of Aerosmith. In truth the best songs are the few non-Aerosmith tracks.

If you like Guitar Hero then you might enjoy playing the few extra songs on this game that aren't available for download, but after a while you'll be thinking why am I doing this?
