Rated - 0 stars10/10 game.....on the 360 at least

A customer from Telford , 26/06/2008

This game spent years in the workshop since alone in the dark 3. the gameplays amazing if you bump into a table it jolts forward along with all the items on it. killing enemies doesnt involve bullets and beatings it simply involves using your head like attaching a blood bag onto an enemie to distract all the others while you pour petrol all over them and...well you get the idea. the graphics are no doubt next, next gen graphics and the lighting shows up any other.

HOWEVER! on the wii none of the above is possible! the graphics suck the gamplays worse (read the other reviews for the rest of the bad points) THE REASON FOR THIS IS this game was made for the 360 and then converted to the wii at the last minute

DO NOT BUY (OR RENT) THIS GAME! INSTEAD BUY OR RENT IT FOR THE 360!(maybe PS3, but i havnt seen the PS3 version)

GREAT GAME GONE BAD!

Rated - 1 starIt's just really bad.

A customer from UK , 23/06/2008

Such a disappointment, could have been good, but it was very obviously rushed out the door to hit a release date a long time before it was close to being a finished product.

The controls work badly, really basic things are badly done - 1st Person Shooter sections where you simply can't aim downwards at the ground, really basic stuff like that should have been sorted out before release - level design is terrible and gives you no hints where you are supposed to be going, you might be surrounded by several ledges around you all of which look perfectly climbable, but try jumping to the wrong one and you die, and have to start the beginning of the whole section again, until you happen to choose the ledge the programmers wanted you to choose, despite it not looking any more obvious a choice than any other.

Most of the times you die in this game are not from challenging enemies or puzzles, you just endlessly die because the objectives are so poorly communicated you can't work out what you are supposed to do to avoid something, or you try jumping to a ledge that isn't the one the programmers wanted you use etc etc.

And everytime you die, it sends you soo far back - eg. when you keep getting killed by a creature dragging you into a fissure in the ground - not because it's hard, simply because the only clue as to how you are supposed to escape is an onscreen prompt telling you to press A - which unfortunately isn't quite true - you need to press something else too, but the game doesn't bother to tell you that, and you just need to use trial and error to find it out (about as much fun as playing Dragon's Lair without any instructions) you don't get sent back to the beginning of the creature's attack like you would in most games - instead you get sent back to the beginning of what feels like a half-mile walk through a carpark to get back to where you are attacked - it's not challenging, there's no reason to make you redo the long walk it - it just makes it really long and boring to keep retrying - too much of the game is like this.

Graphics are very poor, especially in the cutscenes, and the whole thing plays like a glitchy jumpy unfinished mess, which is unfortunately exactly what it is.

The saddest part is seeing the occasional moments that could have been quite good if they'd actually had time to finish making the game, instead of having to put it on the shelves in it's current half-finshed state.

I normally like to see for myself whether games are good or bad - but here is a stern warning...

If you had a room full of politicians, arsenal and man utd fans, meat eaters and vegans, christians and muslims, kkk and black panthers.... the ONLY thing they would ALL agree on, is that this a god awful game (the muslims would put out a jihad on this game and the kkk would hang copies from poplar trees)...

read the other reviews and take heed - what could have been a great game has ended up being a real stinker...

Rated - 3 starsIts not bad just not good

A customer from Derbyshire UK , 25/06/2008

This is a hard game to review. The start of the game is very frustrating and gives you no hints on where to go or what to do. You cant see where you are going most of the time cause its so dark. I gave it a chance though and a few levels in it does get better as you get a torch and a gun. The are still no clues to show you where you need to go and you will find yourself walking around until you stumble across where you had to go. The controls are very fiddly but you get used to them and if you are looking for a shooter this isn't it because the AI literally does not move and if it does its really slow so provides no challenge to kill them. Overall i didn't regret renting this i think its has good use of the Wii remote and Nun chuck it just needed more polishing. Its nothing special but isn't the worst game Ive played it can just be a little frustrating at times and the casual gamer may just find it too fiddly and frustrating to play

Rated - 0 starsterrible game on any system

A customer from Cambs , 13/07/2008

I did have this game on the 360 and its pretty poor, was hoping the wii version is better but its even worse. Once again the wii gets a terrible ps2 port with wii controls stuck on (which are pretty poor) The game feels like it was never tested

My advise avoid on ANY system, the 360 version is better its not saying much
