Have you ever seen Slither? And were you asked to tell someone what it was all about? If so, you might find yourself in a similar situation after watching Feast, namely that putting the plot of the film into a comprehensive narrative is quite tricky. Or should I say, really you could put it into one sentence: A group of people in a bar in the middle of nowhere get preyed upon and attacked by bizarre creatures and chopped off one by one, as they try to get away and survive.

It sounds cheap and like the millionth retread and the (pretty much) straight to dvd label does not help. But make no mistakes, this is great fun and fabulously gory disgusting entertainment, brought to you by the surprising team up of Wes Craven, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

The introduction of the characters sets the stage nicely, with its freeze frame info about each of the players, including the category 'Life Expectancy'. And whereas they really are fodder mainly, it's the thought that went into them that counts. Notably Grandma, who just sits smoking at the bar, sitting it all out in her stride.

Watch this for the easy, gore filed, low brow cheek in tongue entertainment that it is, and you will thoroughly enjoy it.

This is an excellent film.

The gore in the film is excessive, you have very funny introductions to the starring characters, it is chilling in places but it is a very funny film.

Think from Dusk till Dawn, the best part about 50 minutes in when the action kicks off in the Titty Twister and this is where Feast starts, non-stop action.

I only saw two actors I recognised , Jason Mewes from Jay and Silent Bob and Teresa from the OC, also in Numbers.

The acting is really bad though, take the film for what it is, a non-stop horror fest.

According to IMBD the second Feast film is released this this. If it is half as good as the original it will still be a very good film.

cheap gore film really. kinda like dusk till dawn. decent film but not great by a long way. no explanation to the monsters, what they are, where they are from etc. just monsters attacking a bar. acting poor, no name actors. funny bits in places. ok film i guess but wouldnt watch again
