True to the Disney mould this is great fantasy entertainment with a great cast. You can almost see the TV series hitting our screens and if it does I for one (a 46 year old big kid) will watch it!

Rated - 5 starsSpiderwick Magic

An excellent family film. Scary enough to keep the young ones interested - a couple of jumps from my daughter as she watched it! Well acted, especially by the young leads - Freddie Highmore incredibly believable playing both twins, and both Freddie and Sarah Bolger presenting very believable US accents in comparison to their normal English and Irish ones. Highly recommended.

Rated - 4 starsExcellent Family Film

A thoroughly enjoyable family film with enough to please everyone. If you enjoyed the books, you'll love the film. If you;ve not read the books, you will after you've watched it. Just keep a handy supply of honey and crackers ready for the kids.

Good Hobgoblin and all fantasy. Good effects but will scare the very young. Manages the crossover to big people well and can be called a family film.
