Albert Finney is fittingly cast in the role of the roguegish Uncle Silas. If you missed this on TV as I did, please take the time to watch it now. I was glued to the screen, basking in childhood memories of the characters, that seem no longer to be around these days.

Rated - 2 starsSweet but oh so repetitive

All the lovely English stereotypes are there in a beautiful world gone by, but each episode is the same...

Uptight person disapproves of Uncle Silas and his drinking, he gives them a tot of his drink, they relax and have a great time whilst the nephew holds the fort. Got bored after three episodes of same.
