...but only if you know you like this series. To the outsider, just trying this game, it will seem complicated and somewhat pointless. American Football takes a little while to get the hang of, which means you will have to give it a chance. It has some very useful little features like 'My Skill' and 'Rewind'. At the beginning of the game you complete a short test which analyses your ability in the various areas of the game, e.g. passing, and form all these tests gives you your own personalised difficulty setting. This is very handy, and it continuously updates based on your in-game performances.

Rewind is another infinitely useful feature. For example if you threw an interception in the last minute of the game and the opposition score a Touchdown and win the League, you can simply rewind the play and start again. You can also choose how many rewinds you get, from none, to unlimited. This really is a handy feature if you mess up one of those game-making plays.

The graphics and features in this game are fantastic too, with very accurate stadiums, and fantastic player detail. Along with the great commentary and detailed stats pages, this really is the best NFL game yet. Everyone should give it a go, but as I said, if you aren't used to NFL, give at a chance for a week or so :)
