Brief synopsis of Brutal Legend

Brutal Legend tells the tale of Eddie Riggs, played by Jack Black, who is drawn back through time to a mythical world immersed in Rock 'n' Roll folklore; where great Metal titans once ruled and power chords rang from the countryside for all to hear. When an oppressed people request Eddie's knowledge of modern warfare, he pulls from his own experience in the only occupation he's ever had, a roadie for a Heavy Metal band. From this springs the most hellacious army man has ever seen, and thus brings this ancient world into the Age of Metal.

I'm not really a lover of this type of game (usually prefer sports/puzzles and rpg) But I have to say this is one of the best games I have played on the PS3.

Jack Black is soo funny, the graphics are ace, and the gutar kills robotish alieny nuns!!!

I love it!

decent title, comedy, violence, blood, metal, it all comes together in an entertaining package.

I thought that this would be a simple 2rd person hack and slash affair, much like the old lord of the rings games on ps2 but this is in fact quite an acomplished sandbox style adventure with added strategy elements. yes there is still plenty of button mashing carnage to be had but the added defend and attack team based capture the flag/tower defense strategy element makes for a welcome break from the norm.

great comic book graphics and quality voice acting from Jack Black along with some nice cameos from the likes of Lemmy and Ozzy Osbourne really add to the heavy metal feel of the game.

won't be everyones cup of tea, granted, but if you show a bit of patience with the game, you'll find it to be genuinely funny, engaging and absorbing.

A nice change to the typical city based sandbox titles. Instead of New York, this time you get an old school heavy metal world to run riot in. The lack of teleports between areas means that navigation from one side of the map to the other can be a pain, but other than that, it's a well executed game.

Trophy wise, it takes a long old time to get anywhere. There's a few online trophies that will prove to be a huge time sink, and therefore, not really realistic to get on a rental title. So if you want to Plat this game, I'd consider a second hand copy.

I thought this game was going to be amazing, well....its good. but not that good. i think if this movie didnt have the comedy it would be a complete failure because it is very funny, especially with jack black doing voice over. its just the game play is a bit too samey and gets quite boring fast. but its ok to rent and play for a weekend. and it is funny.

THIS GAME ISNT ALL BAD. THE STORY IS GOOD WITH STRONG FUNNY CHARACTERS AND GOOD GRAPHICS, BUT IT IS PRETTY MUCH ALL CUT SCENE WITH A BIT OF REPETATIVE COMBAT, DRIVING AND SIDE MISSIONS CHUCKED IN. AS A GAME IT IS POOR BUT YOU WILL STILL ENJOY IT FOR THE STORY. VERY STRANGE TO HAVE A GOOD AND BAD GAME IN ONE.
