Brief synopsis of Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World

It's time for one final mighty Kamehameha for the PlayStation2! Representing the last "Z" title for the PlayStation 2, Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World combines the best elements from the previous Budokai and Shin-Budokai series, as well as the recently released and much-admired next-gen Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, to deliver the definitive DBZ experience on PlayStation 2.

Rated - 4 starsplayed Demo...AWESOME FUN

Now why is it not possible to make a DB game like this for a next gen console! The fighting system on this game is much like that of the Budokai games on the PSP, which is not a problem for any of the fans who thought that was good- I mean why fix something that is not broken. My only disappointment with this game is that whole big deal everyone is making out of the mini games, I found them to be very repetitive; simply just games of tag with different charcters. First with Bubbles and Goku, then Vegeta and Krillin. These seems to be the only big issue the DB Developers have of not taking the time to build variation into the games, and just using the same principles over again and again. The fighting system as mentioned before is great, but nothing new. The best thing about the game though is the vast majority of players, I only had the demo but with that offered King Vegeta, and minor characters from the DB manga such as characters seen in the Tournament Saga. I will definetely be buying the full version when it comes out.

Rated - 2 starsDissapointment

A customer from London , 17/12/2008

Was looking forward to this since its the last DBZ game that is on ps2 but found it a big dissapointment. The mini games were nothing special and the fighting system just gets too boring after a while, even with elements of the other budokai and shin budokai games i would of expected alot more. I would reccomend playing DBZ tenkaichi 2, best DBZ game i have ever played on PS2.

Rated - 2 starsBetter then some, but not all that good.

After having to deal with the Budokai Tenkachi series, this seemed like it would be a good return to form, but it felt a rather poor addition, adding nothing interesting to the game series.

Infinite World goes back to the original Budokai's fighting system, the better, easier to play system. But even with a decent battle system to it, I felt rather dissapointed with the game, especially its 'story mode'.

Yet again, we are tasked with going through the DBZ storyline, though a set of battles, only now, the developers decided to add a rather poor exploration mode to increase the length of the game.

As your chosen character, you will have to run around a large map (Maybe you can fly later, but I had no option to do so) most likely getting to so many points, usually with a strict time-limit, which doesnt help when the area is large and there is no map/compass to help you.

I would play an earlier DBZ game to get the best out of them, especially games from the Budokai series if you want a good fighter.
