Brief synopsis of X-Blades

X-Blades invites players into a fantastic universe where the enchanting heroine Ayumi fends off innumerable monsters and imposing bosses with her power, spells, fighting tactics and her deadly Pistol Blades! The anime-style level and character designs are what give X-Blades its special flair. Nearly 40 indoor and outdoor worlds dazzle players in an enthralling rhapsody of colour and detail. Non-stop action and vivid magical effects are impressively incorporated in gameplay through the use of cinema stylising such as bullet time or motion blurring. X-Blades will prove to be a hack 'n' slash spectacle for fans of entertaining action games and anime!

I can't understand the bad reviews this game has gotten. It is visually quite stunning, especially when you are executing some of the better magic spells in the game, the fire effects are great, and the levels are very well drawn aswell.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing through this game and I hope this short recommendation encourages other people to do the same.

You can try the free demo off X-Box Live before you decide to play it. This is what I did, and I'm glad I did.

was expecting an DMC clone albeit a not as good.

sadly it was nothing like DMC. no exploration, the combo system involves mashing x and hoping for the best, you may as well trade the gun in for peashooters as the enemies all appear to be bulletproof, the target system always locks on to the nearest enemy, sadly the nearest enemy is usually behind a wall.

personally i managed 4 levels, then stuck it back in the envelope.....nuff said.

the title says it all, poorly made hack and slash that feels like if swords are made of foam as the bad guys don't seem to react to 'razor sharp swords'

Only managed to get to the 2nd level as its so boring, also the main character is sad (as in pervy) Maybe if the developers spent less time on the main character, the game might of been half decent
