Rated - 3 starsInnovative if not a little limited

Ok lets do the positive and negatives:

Positives: The chain combat system is fun and realistic, if not a little repetative at times, and really makes you feel like you are in a real WWE wrestling match. The roster is a healthy 40 and comes with real entrance music and unlockable videos, as well as an unlockable costume for each supertstar. There are all of your favourite match types; single, tag, triple threat, battle royal, royal rumble, ladder, cage, hell in a cell etc, but unfortunately no TLC, but that's to be expected since TLC is a modern wrestling ideas. There are two campaign like game modes aswell, with 'legend killer' and 'wrestlemania tour' modes. The former lets you import smakcdown vs raw create a players to work your way up to a legend killer and the tour lets you relive, rewrite and reinvent classic macthes, with great build up and some fun objectives to achieve during matches, e.g to slam the rock through the announce table and then spit water over him during their monumental Wrestlemania match. You can also import smackdown vs raw superstars.

Negatives: The tour mode is quite short and a little repetative, leaving you with a fairly short legend killer mode and exhibitions to play with. The roster could be bigger, although all the names you'd expect are there. The characters look unrealistic and the move sets are very limited, you find yourself doing the same move 5-10 times in a match. Titles can't be put on the line in exhibitions either. The objectives get a little frustrating too.

Positives: The records are good and there are all the titles you'd expect, and the extra videos really let you revisit the old days of wrestling.

All in all a very different and innovative wrestling game, but feels a bit rushed. A must for classic wrestling fans though, far surpasses the other WWE legends titles.

Rated - 3 starsGood game but could be improved.

A customer from Ely , 09/04/2009

The game is good but after a while you do get a bit bored. thge SvR import is fun because you can have Jeff Hardy v Junk Yard Dog or Santino v Honky Tonkyman. If your under 20 yearsold dont get the game unless you know your wrestling history because you wont have heard of most of the roster. HIAC is brilliant on this game you cna now go through the side of the cell and through a table from the top (like Undertaker v Mankind) as well as through the top of the cell. overal a good game 6/10

Rated - 3 starsA game for trophies

Ciddy from Hitchin , 29/04/2009

Although it was nice to relive some classic matches that are available, I found that it was very much the same over and over again and I think I only used two buttons all game. Not quite enough depth for my liking but a good array of wrestlers to choose from including some old favourites. The trophies are achievable very easily so if you're a trophy hoarder this is definitely a title you should give a go.

Overall, I'm glad I gave it a chance but this is definitely a rental title in my opinion, as I don't think it would keep you hooked long enough to warrant buying the game.
