Rated - 5 starsPurely Excellent!!!

If you have not seen this yet then what are you waiting for!!! I enjoyed this so much I bought it after watching the final episode. The first episode is kind of an intro and you don't think much of it, but after the second episode it starts to get interesting and you just can't stop there!

P.S. I don't often compliment actors, but Dakota Fanning who plays the little girl in the last few episodes is brilliant.

this is a brilliant series, although it may only appeal to sci-fans

Taken is one of the best series i have ever seen. The first episode is a load of drizzle but once you have watched the second its hard to stop. The way the families come together is exellent and the storyline is suprisingly unpredictable. Definatley one for fans of the X-Files series.

Rated - 5 starsAmazing psycological sci-fi

Jamie Green from Northampton, England , 29/06/2005

This is top quality from Stephen Spealberg. Its very psycological in its presentation, and is very deep. The character plot is hard to follow and you really have to watch hard, as it skips from past decriptive tence to presnt tence very quickley. although this adds to the mistery of it. The little girl in this is an amazing actress.

Rated - 4 starsSeries....

I have watched the first part of this series on dvd and i have to say i am drawn in. You have to feel that speilberg is re-visitng projects past, but with new angles, a decent story and some good actors i am not going to complain.

Narration is often something that is overlooked in films and tv series but i think that it works really well in this series. The girl that narrates is both eloquent and emotional enough in her dialogue that it adds not subtracts from the movie. It reminds me of the series band of brothers where the narration increases the joy that much more for me.

Rated - 5 starswhy hadnt i heard of this??

puddles22 from hove , 30/04/2005

started getting this series from my local video shop when i was waiting for discs to arrive. the beginning is slow and covers many characters and generations so i found it hard to remember who everyone was and who they were connected to, and how. people come and go so it's hard to care about anyone until disc 4 when it really starts to come together and dakota fanning truly shines as the special girl. fantastic stuff! government cover-ups, alien abductions, special powers...they are all there. sit back and enjoy!
